Five Norfolk things to do in June
1. Summer Diesel Gala, Sheringham to Holt, 10-12 June
The Weybourne Traction Group returns in 2016 with another eagerly anticipated Diesel Gala on the North Norfolk Railway. Over three days, the NNR puts classic diesel locomotives from a variety of eras to work between Sheringham and Holt. Visitors will find refreshments in a beer tent and real ale bar, while the team will be putting as many of its own locomotives and coaching stock into use as possible, along with visiting locomotives arriving via the recently opened Sheringham level crossing.
2. Father’s Day Special Dayboat hire, 19 June
Let dad be captain of his own vessel this Father’s Day and discover the beautiful Norfolk Broads, an internationally important wetland, with a status equivalent to a National Park. Enjoy three hours for the price of two, although this offer is only valid for families when dad comes too! At least two adults are required on board. Dayboats are available from 9am – 5.30pm (£36 for three hours, maximum of eight people on board). Boats are operated on a first come, first served basis, early arrival recommended.

They vary in size from large historic parks and smaller manor houses, to cottages and courtyards, and are situated throughout the county. Some are old and traditional, whilst others are modern or naturalistic. Something inspiring for every gardener.
