Five Norfolk things to do in November

1. Junior naturalists

The Children’s Wildlife Watch at Hickling board on Saturday 12 November is a must for young fans of David Attenborough. Discover the way reptiles, amphibians and mammals go into dormancy and find out what makes their winter retreat perfect. Put into practise what you’ve learnt when you make a hibernaculum to take home.

2. Seasonal Spectacular

From Thursday 10 November – Friday 23 December, Thursford hosts its annual Christmas Spectacular. Set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, a cast of 130 professional singers, dancers and musicians – many of whom are West End performers – entertain. The three-hour performance delivers an extravaganza of singing, dancing, music and variety hall.

3. Christmas crafts

The Sandringham Christmas Craft, Food and Gift Fair from 18 – 20 November is a fantastic stop for present hunters. You’ll be met at the gate with a warming glass of seasonal punch, and entertained with music, craft demonstrators and food tastings. Glass blowing, weaving and carving are just a few of the talents on display.
