OK, we’re only just into March, and spring still feels like a little way off, but getting out and about, and some air into your lungs is a great way to get your circulation going, turn up your body temperature and feel good even when Norfolk puts on its best impersonation of Siberia. Here are a few regular and upcoming seasonal sporting events for your calendar.
Holkham parkrun
Pedal Norfolk
A little way off, but register now for Norfolk’s cycling festival, Pedal Norfolk taking place 30 April – 2 May. This year there are new routes to explore, offering up to 250-miles of Sportive action, along with gentler 20-mile rides for those who enjoy two-wheeled action at a more moderate pace, and for little ones cutting their Sportive teeth. There’s tons of fun back at the ranch (that’s Holkham Hall) with great food trucks, camping and glamping, plus entertainment and fun stuff for the kids to do while they wait for the long riders to return. Tickets start from £6.50 for 20-mile rides, with a special £90 package day for the three-day, 250-mile challenge – how far will you go? Book at pedalnorfolk.co.uk
Norfolk Superhero
You can see why they call them Superheroes. This year the event is raising funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, so dig deep and lend a hand to some of the county’s fittest individuals as they do their bit.
